For Downtown Denville shops, stores and restaurants we are holding our annual Storefront Holiday Decorating Contest with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize.

Your storefront window must be decorated by 5pm on November 29th for our Holiday Open House. The display must remain up until Sunday December 10th.

The Theme: Celebrating The Holidays through Books, Stories and Art.

Judging based on: How well you use the theme, your creativity and use of your store’s merchandise.

Storefronts Eligible: – Must be within the Downtown Denville Business Improvement District boundries.

• All storefronts on Broadway, from California Beach Hut to Il Torrente and from SmartWorld Coffee to McCarter Park. 
• All storefronts on 1st and 2nd Avenues. 
• All storefronts on Diamond Spring Road from Cafe Metro to SmartWorld Coffee. 
• All storefronts on East Main Street from 7 West Hair Designs to Nail House

You may have noticed all of the construction on First Avenue in downtown Denville. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we promise any stress it may cause will be worth it. Within a few months, the renovations taking place will result in:

• Re-paved and replaced sidewalks
• Lamp posts that will match Broadway with floral hooks and flag pole brackets
• New landscaping 
• A re-organized parking lot 
• A small stone decorative wall in front of the parking lot that will surround Diamond Spring Road as well
• An enhanced sound system & speakers within the lights that sync up with Broadway

The First Avenue improvements should be complete by the end of the year, barring any unforeseen delays. The essentials, like removal of the old sidewalk and curb and the installation of a new curb and paver sidewalk, should be complete within a few weeks. In addition, we are excited to welcome a new bakery to First Avenue, hopefully opening soon! We can’t wait! Stay tuned.

We are currently working on street, landscape and parking improvements, additional marketing tactics, and more exciting events.
