Denville Holiday Parade

Come visit Downtown Denville for our festive parade that official welcomes Santa to his Denville holiday residence at the Rotary Santa Land off of Church Street. Come early to experience one of New Jersey’s most praised downtown districts for the holiday season. Warm up with hot cocoa, delicious coffee or quick bite to eat at one of our many eateries before the festivities and secure your spot along the parade route.

Presented by Denville’s Recreation Deparment, the parade floats will be CandyLand themed and lead by “Coach” Don Casse as our Parade Marshall. Don has served Denville Recreation, Hub Soccer, the Board of Education and countless more organizations with his dedicated volunteerism.

Other highlights in the parade this year will be the Cuchullain Pipe Band, The Shriners small cars, Spiderman, the Grinch, The Denville String Band and many of Denville’s greatest organization.

Join Downtown Denville’s Gene Fitzpatrick and “Mrs Morris County”, Taryn Shea as they MC this long-standing traditional in one of NJ’s best downtowns.

Downtown Denville Window Decorating Contest to Sparkle this Season

Step into a winter wonderland as Downtown Denville prepares to transform into the ‘5th Avenue of Morris County’ with its upcoming Holiday Window Decorating Contest!

Mark your calendars for our cherished annual Holiday Open House on Friday, November 24th, from 5:30 – 9:00 PM. A delightful evening filled with festive activities, including our much-anticipated Window Decorating Contest. We kindly ask all event attendees to cast their vote for their favorite decorated window, showing their love and support for our talented local businesses.

Upon arrival at the Holiday Open House, we encourage visitors to make the Downtown Denville tent their first stop! Here you will find a handy map of all participating businesses and receive your voting ticket. Once you’ve taken a stroll through our Downtown to check out all of the festive windows, come back to the Downtown Denville tent to cast your vote for the window that captured your holiday spirit the best.

Downtown Denville Parking News: What You Need To Know

We have some exciting news to share with the Denville community! After receiving valuable feedback from our community members, we have been working hand in hand with Denville Township to address the parking concerns in Downtown Denville. We are thrilled to announce the launch of a trial program aimed at improving parking in our downtown area.

We are incredibly grateful for the collaboration and support from Denville Township for this initiative. Together, we believe this trial program will greatly benefit our local businesses in Downtown Denville, and we cannot wait to witness the positive outcomes it brings.

New 90-Minute Parking Regulation Ordinance

Starting from Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, we will see a change in the Denville Downtown parking regulations. The following areas will be affected: Broadway, Center Street, Diamond Spring Road, East Main Street, First Avenue, and a portion of Second Avenue. The current one-hour parking limit will be modified to a 90-minute parking limit between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturdays.

This extended time limit is being implemented as part of a trial period, set to expire on January 1, 2024, unless it is further extended by a majority vote of the Township Council. We encourage everyone to make the most of this trial period and provide valuable feedback to help shape the future of parking in Downtown Denville.

Enforcement and Consequences

Enforcement of this new parking ordinance will begin on November 1, 2023. It is important to note that any vehicle exceeding the 90-minute parking limit will be subject to a summons. We kindly request all community members and visitors to abide by this regulation to ensure a fair and efficient parking system that benefits everyone.

2023 Pink Witches Night Out Recap

On Friday 13th October the streets of Denville came alive with love, laughter, and support on a memorable evening – the 11th Annual Pink Witches Night Out. This event, presented by Saint Clare’s Health and sponsored by The Oaks at Denville, brought together Denville’s vibrant community to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Amidst the festivities, the event honored Cheryl Granito as this year’s beneficiary, a cherished member of Denville who has been bravely battling metastatic breast cancer. The spirit of Denville’s community motto, ‘where a community comes together’, was never more embodied than on Friday night.

The businesses of Denville rallied together to show their overwhelming support for the event. From creative pink hairstyles to unique PWNO-themed drinks and generous gift baskets, the outpouring of support was truly remarkable. The streets were filled with a sea of pink, mostly attendees wearing this year’s merch, symbolizing the unity and solidarity displayed by the local community. The businesses’ immense contributions added an extra touch of enthusiasm and vibrancy to the event, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to the cause.

All attendees were treated to a wide array of engaging and thrilling activities, ensuring a night filled with excitement and entertainment. From the highly popular ‘Bra Pong’ to a spirited casino area, participants had plenty of options to immerse themselves in the festivities. The addition of axe-throwing, a plank off and the silent disco added an extra level of thrill and enjoyment to the event, offering a unique and memorable experience for all. The atmosphere was electric as participants danced the night away with wireless headphones, creating a sense of unity and laughter throughout the venue.

We are immensely grateful to everyone who joined us at the 11th Annual Pink Witches Night Out. Your presence and support made the event truly magical and contributed to its success. A special thank you goes to our dedicated team of volunteers who selflessly brought the evening to life.
