You may have noticed all of the construction on First Avenue in downtown Denville. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we promise any stress it may cause will be worth it. Within a few months, the renovations taking place will result in:
- Re-paved and replaced sidewalks
- Lamp posts that will match Broadway with floral hooks and flag pole brackets
- New landscaping
- A re-organized parking lot
- A small stone decorative wall in front of the parking lot that will surround Diamond Spring Road as well
- An enhanced sound system & speakers within the lights that sync up with Broadway
The First Avenue improvements should be complete by the end of the year, barring any unforeseen delays. The essentials, like removal of the old sidewalk and curb and the installation of a new curb and paver sidewalk, should be complete within a few weeks. In addition, we are excited to welcome a new bakery to First Avenue, hopefully opening soon! We can’t wait! Stay tuned.
