Free Intro Saber Classes, Live Music, Ribbon Cutting Celebration, and more in Downtown Denville this Weekend

Join the March! Every Wednesday in March, Inspire Martial Arts is offering FREE Intro Saber Classes from 7:15 – 8:00 P.M.

Celebrate the new year and the new Butter + Velvet this Thursday at their Open House Celebration! Enjoy the cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres and don’t miss the ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 P.M. Oh, and did we mention that the first 50 guests will receive an ultimate swag bag? This event is not to be missed!

Join a group sound healing session at The Urban Muse lead by Michele Cavaliere. Sound Healing is a calming and meditative session that uses various instruments, including crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes that help guide you to a state of relaxation. The tones and frequencies of the instruments help to quiet the mind, activate the relaxation response, and raise your vibrational energy. Instruments are intuitively played to bring balance and wellness to the body, mind, and spirit.

Thursday night is trivia night at Diamond Spring Brewing Co. with Best Men Trivia. No reservations. First come, first play!

Tables for teams of 2 to 4 players are available. Teams of 5 or 6 may be comprised of both sitting and standing players in order to maximize how many teams can play.

Enjoy live music by James Mastro at Sweet Vinyl Cafe. James Mastro is is an icon of New Jersey music. As a member of The Bongos in the late ’80s, he helped put our state on the indie-rock map. In the ’90s he led The Health & Happiness Show, which slayed audiences coast to coast opening for Wilco and other notables. Later he backed John Cale, Patti Smith, and Robert Plant, and lent his producing and arranging skills to innumerable other acts. Most recently he became Mott the Hoople leader Ian Hunter’s right-hand man. And now he’s finally released his debut solo album, featuring numerous rock luminaries, some of whom will be helping him bring his songs to life at Sweet Vinyl on March 8.

Mr. Luis is a spiritist who has trained and walked in various spiritual traditions, gaining wisdom and perspective from them all. He is a reader who uses different tools to help bring guidance to each person helping them to gain greater awareness of their life. Through Tarot & Oracles (including Runes and Ogham), Mr. Luis helps to bring connection between the spirit world and this world. Mr. Luis brings an honest down to earth approach to his readings always making sure each person is empowered and enlightened.

The Youth Arty Exhibition by Art Classes by Mary Shadbolt is an exhibit of work created by artists aged 6-17. The show highlights the benefits of art and art education and how skills are developed through visual experiences. The main reception will be held March 10th from 2 – 4:30 P.M.
