It’s officially Pink Witches Month! And we are honored to announce this year’s Pink Witches Night Out beneficiary, Cheryl Granito.
A cherished member of our community, Cheryl is a 13-year resident of Denville and a former teacher. In 2019, her world turned upside down when she received the devastating news of a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. This unforeseen moment arrived just as Cheryl was savoring the joys of motherhood with the birth of her third child, altering the course of her life in an instant.
Metastatic Breast Cancer is an incurable disease that requires ongoing treatment. Despite the immense challenges she faces, Cheryl remains an incredible source of inspiration, strength, and gratitude. She is deeply appreciative of our community that continues to rally around her, offering unwavering support as she courageously navigates through the constant challenges that life throws her way.
In line with Downtown Denville’s motto of “where a community comes together,” we invite all members of our community to come together to support Cheryl by donating to Pink Witches Night Out and joining us for the big night on Friday, October 13th.
Your generous contributions and active participation in Pink Witches Night Out will directly benefit Cheryl in her courageous battle against metastatic breast cancer. Join us as our community comes together to show Cheryl the immense love and support she deserves.
Pink Witches Night Out is New Jersey’s most prestigious Breast Cancer Awareness event. Founded in 2012 by local business owners Meg and Cait Olenowski, this official Downtown Denville BID event was created in honor of Meg’s mother and former Denville business owner, Kathy Olenowski, who bravely fought cancer before her passing in 2011. Pink Witches Night Out is presented by Saint Clare’s Health and sponsored by The Oaks at Denville.
For the past eleven years, the Denville community has united in the fight against breast cancer, raising over $100,000. Most recently, Pink Witches Night Out has been able to donate over $50,000 to local residents who have been diagnosed with the disease. Pink Witches Night Out is now accepting donations for the 2023 beneficiary at PinkWitchesNight.com.
